Blacklisted Casinos NZ

Here at DashTickets, we’re big into trust – and a big part of building trust in the online gambling industry is knowing which sites to recommend – and which to avoid. A lot of casino review websites, however, just flaunt the good casinos – and fail to mention bad ones – brushing them under the rug to try and avoid annoying operators.

At DashTickets, we’re different; if a casino is s#*t, we have no issue in saying so – and that’s why we’ve created this blacklisted casinos NZ page. This page is, if you like, a running list of online casinos that Kiwis should avoid entirely.

Now, one thing to note; we do not blacklist lightly. Before a casino ends up on this page, we look at a wide variety of factors, including player complaints, withdrawal histories, licensing status, terms and conditions, our own first-hand testing (where applicable), and, of course, whether we’ve received any complaints through our ADR service.

If you’re looking for tips on where to play, check out our recommended best online casinos in NZ instead. But, if you’ve searched for a casino and ended up here – well, that’s exactly the reason this page exists!

What Gets a Casino Blacklisted?

Casinos can end up on DashTickets’ blacklist for a number of reasons – but in many cases, it’s several at once.

Refusing or Delaying Withdrawals Without Cause

This is probably the most common reason casinos end up blacklisted. When players win legitimately, and casinos then try to find excuses not to pay – whether that’s vague breaches of bonus terms, endless verification requests, or simply going silent – it’s a serious red flag.

Using Bonus Terms as a “Trap”

Some casinos design their terms and conditions page to be as vague as possible – and this can then be used to “allow them” to avoid winnings after you’ve completed the wagering requirements. These are deliberate tools to avoid paying out, and they include things like retroactively applying wagering conditions, fine print that contradicts the main bonus offer, or terms so broad that virtually anything can be deemed “irregular”.

Operating Without a Valid License

I need to be very clear: this, in itself, isn’t always a reason for a casino to be blacklisted. There are (albeit not many) some online casinos that operate without a license – and treat players fairly. Still, we would almost always avoid recommending one of these sites – and where things do get bad, is when a casino operates without a valid license – while pretending they do. In this case – straight to the blacklist.

Unresponsive / Hostile Customer Support

If we find a casino that ignores withdrawal requests, provides scripted “non-answers”, or becomes aggressive when players push back (yes, really – we’ve seen this before) – it’s usually a sign of a poorly-run, or deliberately dodgy casino – and that means they get a first class ticket right to the blacklist.

Fake or Pirates Games

Some operators host game software that’s been tampered with – and this ends up altering the RTP, or the random number generator (RNG) in the casino’s favour. This is absolutely illegal behavior, and any casino found to be running pirated, stolen, or fake games, gets automatically blacklisted; no second chances.

What to do if You’ve Already Deposited at a Blacklisted Casino

If you have funds, or an active account at one of the casinos listed above – here’s what we recommend.

  1. Request a Withdrawal Immediately: Do not deposit any more money; submit a withdrawal request before anything else.
  2. Document Everything: Screenshot your account balance, transaction history, bonus terms you accepted, and any communication you’ve had with the customer support team.
  3. Contact Support in Writing: Use email or live chat (with transcripts), not phone – because a written record is a lot more useful if you need to escalate things later.
  4. Escalate if Ignored: If the casino is unresponsive, contact the site’s regulator – if there is one. You can also use our Casino Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service for free.
  5. Contact Your Bank or Payment Provider: If you paid by credit card and the casino refuses to return money you’re owed, you may be able to make a chargeback.
